Moves, Deliveries & Installations

Do you deliver and install the safes you sell?

Yes, for every safe we sell (with the exception of floor safes), we offer delivery and installation options.

Is there a fee for delivery and installation?

There is a fee for the delivery and installation of a safe. The fee depends on different factors such as the size and weight of the safe, whether it is a drop off or full installation, the distance we will be taking it, the difficulty of the task, etc.

Do you bolt down the safes you deliver?

If we are doing a full installation for you, we will bolt down the safe at no additional charge. The only exception to this is if your home has a post-tension foundation. The safe will need to have predrilled holes on the bottom for us to bolt it down (most safes do).

Do you take safes upstairs?

Yes, but it depends on certain factors such as weight and size, the dimensions of the staircase and landing, the stability of the stairs being used, etc. Our general rule is we will take a safe upstairs only if we feel it is safe for the crew, the homeowner and the home.

Do you install the vault doors you sell?

Yes, but it depends on certain factors, mainly accessability. Many times, we work together with a contractor who has reinforced the room that the door is being attached to.

Do you move safes?

Absolutely! A large portion of our business is moving safes, even safes we haven't sold. The same factors for delivery and installation apply to moves. If you'd like to find out more, you can get a Move Quote here.

Do you move safes you didn't sell?

Yes, we do.

How quickly can a delivery or a move be scheduled?

We are typically 1 to 2 weeks out on our deliveries and moves.

General Questions & Advice Regarding Safes

Are there different ways to configure the interior of a my safe?

The answer is usually yes, and it usually depends on the size of the safe. Short version, if any of the shelves are held up by clips, the shelf (shelves) can be reconfigured.

How many long guns can my gun safe hold?

That depends entirely on how the safe shelving was designed but as a rule, you will hear the phrase, "Up to [this many] long guns". No safe company can account for all the variations of a long gun such as scopes, tripods, modifications or stock size. If you'd like a more detailed answer, Click Here.

What should I look for in a safe if I'm thinking of buying one?

Steel thickness, fire rating, body construction and warranty. These are the main things you want to look for in a safe.

What questions should I ask myself if I'm thinking of buying a safe?

You should consider the safe's security level, fire rating, capacity, size restrictions (will it fit where you want it to go?), and budget.

Which are better, mechanical or electronic locks?

It all comes down to preference, because each has its pros and cons. The short and sweet answer; A mechanical lock will last longer, but an electronic lock will be a lot more quick and convenient. If you'd like a more detailed answer, Click Here.

Can I change the combination on my mechanical safe lock?

Yes, but mechanical locks can be tricky and if done wrong, will require realigning a lot of parts on the lock body. Also, whether you're successful or not, changing the combo will void any warranty you had on it. If you'd like a more detailed answer, Click Here.

Can I change the combination on my electronic safe lock?

Most electronic locks are specifically designed for you to change the combo whenever you want, as often as you want. Changing the combo on an electronic lock does not void any warranty it has. The only thing you will need are the right instructions to the lock you have. For a more detailed answer, Click Here.

Can I buy a mechanical or electronic safe lock and install it myself?

Yes, but any installation of a lock will waive any warranty it comes with unless the installation is done by an authorized technician. It will also void any warranty on the lock being replaced.
